A woman is clashing online about the unusual way she made a lasagna.
A traditional Italian lasagna is made in a specific way – with lasagna foil, meat sauce recording and ricotta cheese. So when a woman online tried to make a “healthier” version of her – the Internet lost her marbles.
A woman named Courtney Knill innocently shared the X (once twitter) a photo of something resembling the Italian element on a plate of glass casserole.
The accompanying title read: “Came with a new recipe I’m not completely sure what to call, is essentially a healthier version of Lasagna.”
In another tweet under the original one, she further explained to take the traditional dish, writing, “I used chicken on the ground instead of beef, and pasta subscribed to Quinoa!”
Well, leave it to the ruthless people of the Internet to run and explain to Knill that what she did was shameful for the whole area with three states and Italy.
“One’s nonna should hit you head for this,” read a tweet.
“Please don’t call this lasagna,” someone else pleaded.
“Very certain that this is what they serve in the 9th cafeteria of the hell ring,” read another disappointed tweet.
“All New Jersey shouted in the terror and were eagerly silent,” one person wrote in a hilarious way.
Another upset person could not contain himself by writing: “This is a capital violation in Italy, and the mafia will hit you in the US”
Knill eventually responded to all the hatred and tried to defend her strange recipe by writing, “I haven’t eaten pasta in over 8 months. Leave me and my quinoa in peace” with a crying emoji.
While Lasagna is clearly preferred in the US – there are other dishes that Italian chefs would not dare to order here.
And some of these can be shocking.
“When the Italians begin to emigrate to the US, most of which were greeted by poor, rural and their cooking was weaker with few ingredients, the dishes were largely vegetarian, and they essentially used everything available to them,” Italian Contalo Contald Huff.
Alfredo sauce? The chefs argue that it is not “enough Italian”.
“For an Italian, Fettuccine Alfredo is a big one in the book of rules,” said Jacopo Fallen, owner of Nonna in Westlake Village, California.
Random pizza toppings? Another reported no-no.
