E – cigarettes were initially traded as a graceful way to help people leave traditional cigarettes – but that promise has come out great in the smoke.
Research shows that most adult smokers trying to vaping ends using both, while many teenagers who never smoke are dealing with nicotine via vaping.
Approximately 11 million Americans heat regularly, and although the heat is still considered less harmful than cigarettes because they do not smoke – tar and very carcinogen – increasing evidence indicates that they are safe.
A new study published Wednesday in the journal ACS Central Science-discovered that electronic cigarettes emit a shocking amount of toxic metals, with some larger products in the use of a day than nearly 20 packages of traditional cigarettes.
“Our study highlights the hidden risk of these new and popular e -cigarette cigarettes – with levels of neurotoxic lead and nickel and carcinogenic antimony – which emphasizes the need for urgency in implementation,” said high author Brett Poulin, an assistant Professor toxicology.
“These risks are not just worse than other electronic cigarettes, but worse in some cases than traditional cigarettes,” Poulin added.
The research was led by Mark Salazar, a doctoral candidate in the Poulin lab, who wanted to know more about what his friend – a vaper – was coming to his body.
When he tested the available heat pod in the lab, he was amazed at the results.
“When I first saw lead concentrations, they were so high, I thought our instrument was broken,” Salazar said. “This prompted us to seek fury in these available.”

The researchers took a good and difficult look at seven types of equipment available from three of the most popular brands – ESCO Bar, Flum Pebble and Elf Bar.
They discovered “these available devices have toxins already present in the e-Law, or they are moving quite widely from their ingredients in e-lounges and are eventually transferred to the smoke,” Salazar said.
Some of the devices contain nickel and antimony levels that can increase the risk of cancer, as well as lead and nickel emissions that can lead to damage to the brain and lungs.
Equally worrying is that the newest, available vapors seemed to emit more toxic metals than before, refined vates.
Researchers required more research and adjustment about electronic cigarettes, especially because the market is transcending science.
While New York and the Federal Government limited the sale of flavored cigarettes or heat in 2020, the detention has not really been implemented and new electronic cigarette products are constantly emerging.
