When it comes to the service industry, there can be no more busy place at any given time than a Costco food court.
The latest post of a Reddit user remembered his first day at work and how he wanted to leave.
Reddit user “OK-Development4027” shared his experience on a page dedicated to Costco conversations.
“The first day working at Courtco Court Costco I want to leave,” that title A after that soon received more than 1,000 comments and counting.
The 21-year-old employee said he followed an orientation that “went well[ly]The day before his Friday replacement.
When it came time to work his first shift from 11am to 7:30 in the afternoon, he admitted that he thought of the 8-hour schedule, which included a 30-minute break, “was already a lot for my first day, but I brought it out.”
He quickly realized that it was “for a trip” just started.
The new employee of the Food Court noted that the client’s influx “was consistent from breakfast, then later worsened during the day.”
From 6 pm or 7 pm, he said, he “wanted to go out” because he was without stop. “
He compared himself to “a zoology animal that is viewed by all customers from within as I try to move as soon as I can.”
The initial employee emphasized that there is “like a whole pizza being sold every 2 minutes and I think I could rest”.
He continued to say he wasn’t sure what his role was – “They tell me I’m closer but I was [there] In the morning doing preparatory things. “
“However, it was extremely great for my first day [there] And it can be it. “
The commentators were largely encouraging, telling him that things would improve and stay with him.
“Jobs can often be overwhelming in the first few days,” one person wrote. “Roll with the best you can and by next week you will be a professional. You have this.”
“Just remember that everyone there, especially the employment manager, wants you to make it and become a superstar,” noticed another user.

Other users, however, said it is eight to leave.
“I agree – but if you hate it in 3 weeks, give your notice and find one that works,” wrote one person.
“And some jobs are not for everyone,” said another commentator. “After all, if this type wants to go find a new job.”
A commenter who claimed to have worked as a manager of the Costco Food Court did not seem safe from the history of employees.
“We would hire three [people] At one time, “the person wrote.” Was always someone [who] Would give up by the end of the first week. “
The employee, who wrote in an update that “just felt like he would never finish,” discovered in the comments a few days later that this was “his first food service work”, but he eventually felt more comfortable writing behind the counter.
“I ended up staying and feeling like I was improved and hanging it.”
