A woman signed her husband for a marathon with a 24 -hour notice after he boasted that she could end 26.2 miles without any training.
Maisie Todd, 31, placed the name of her husband Logan for the Rock ‘N’ marathon in San Diego on May 31 after “continued to bring” how he could finish the course without training.
Surprising it 24 hours before the big day on June 1, 2025, Logan, 32, prepared by eating peanut butter sandwiches, stretching and drinking a lot of water.
He continued to end in a five -hour 58 -minute five -minute time – running the first 10 miles over and over – with supporting Maisie posting regular updates to the entire social media experience.
Logan, a software engineer, from San Diego, California, SH.BA, said: “Being women at 6am on Saturday [with the surprise] I didn’t feel well.
“It was also exciting because I speak a great game, and it was time to set my money where my mouth was.
“Running is not ultimately a passion.
“I did high school sport, but always graduated, I was very active.
“I started running and running and doing it for about 10 miles and I felt surprisingly well about it all the time.
“I ran into a bunch of people who had seen me in Tiktok the day before, and they cheered me.
“I know I was going to finish, so it just became a mental game of how I would go there.”
Maisie planned a superprise in April after talking to friends about Logan’s signature for one of the blue.
Using her sister Sadie Todd’s, 27, computer, she applied on behalf of Logan.
“One of his determinations was that he had to notice 24 hours and then he could complete it,” she said.
“I kept that secret between my sister and me.”
Waking up Logan at 6am the day before, Maisie broke the news and the marathon preparation began.
Logan said: “I know I had to load carbon and so I went out and got a bunch of items we don’t usually have in peanut butter and bread.
“I just ate as much as I thought I could.
“My sister -in -law has run a marathon, and she placed me with a beautiful back I could wear to hold my energy executioners, and then we went out and got a pair of shoes that came as they would do the job for me.
“That was really, I just made some stretch and drank a lot of water.
“I have about two hours of sleep [the night before].
“I was lying there throwing up and returning thinking about the situation I would have myelf.”
Logan departed at 6.45am, with Maisie cheering her.
She said: “I saw that he came nervous and almost felt bad about his recording.
“He said” Don’t feel bad I did this for myelf. “
By destroying his seven -hour purpose, Logan was relieved to complete the road.
He said, “I felt a little bad about it because everyone else had trained for months and I was like ‘please don’t be angry with me.”
“The goal was to get within seven and then I realized, I did math about half the way and realized I could break six if I would like.
“I didn’t have much emotion [at the finish line].
“My knees hurt me and I focused on walking.
“It was always a hypothetical fun question to ask people and now it’s answered.
“You can finish a 24 -hour marathon.
“The day after was not good, everything hurt.
“The stairs were a problem.
“I still continued to drink full of liquids and lie down as much as I could.”
Maisie has found people online “didn’t believe it” when she shared the video of the day online.
She said: “Many of the comments have been the supportive hawk that I wish I had brought before because it came out of nowhere and many people did not believe it was true.
“People were commenting saying” He looks like it’s in shape “and” He has made a marathon before. ”
“I wish that more people would believe it.
“In addition, it has been really positive, and many people were following together.”
Despite his amazing achievement, Logan has no plans to run marathons.
He said: “I didn’t even want to run it.
“I think my running career started and ended on Sunday.”
