We will not beat around the bus: when it comes to vaginal health, all the interiors are not created equal.
Some styles and fabrics are better than others in keeping things clear and without infection below, according to Winx Health’s medical adviser, Dr Carly Ross.
And while thongs and G-Sings are perfectly perfectly to avoid the visible lines of the pants, Dr. Ross told the post that there are some beautiful gross realities that you should avoid using them every day.
Best underwear for your vaginal health
Breath, child, breathe.
“For everyday wearing, gluing simple, soft, cotton underwear is the healthiest choice,” Ross said.
“Look for the interiors that are without tough colors, synthetic aromas or chemical finishes. The interiors made of 100% cotton, especially in the turning, helps the moisture level be balanced.”
It also recommends natural moisture fibers, “as long as they are soft and allow air flow.”
As for which cuts to choose from, more coverage will generally be better for your parts.
“Styles like shorts, boyshorts or even high waist cuts tend to offer more comfort and excessive frictional cover,” Ross said.
“The most important factor is not just cutting, but the fabrics and fit. The interiors should not be too narrow or tap moisture, but it should allow your skin to breathe,” it noted.
And the worst
“The worst style of interiors for vaginal health are narrow or synthetic lace interior attacks, especially when the world every day,” Ross said.
“Synthetic materials like nylon, polyester, or we would give the skin to give and can block heat and moisture, creating the perfect breeding soil for yeast and bacteria to grow,” she added.
“Lace and mesh may feel sexy, but they can cause friction and scraps, especially if there are for long periods of time,” Ross said.
Plus, any fabric treated with fragrances, colors or chemical finishes can “irritate the sensitive skin of the vulvar and disrupt the natural balance of pH”, noted it.
But are the bad things really bad?
“Thongs can undoubtedly be a contributing factor to vaginal health issues such as UTI and yeast infections, especially if you live an active lifestyle,” Doc said.
This tight fit and friction can be a “lentil land” for bacteria – including E. coli from Back there – which can be transported to the vagina or urethra and lead to urinary tract infections and yeast infections.
This is especially true if you wear them for a long time or during exercise.
“Wearing them every day may not be the best choice for everyone,” she continued.
“This said, the random use of Thong is generally at last if you are comfortable and you have no problem. But for everyday wear, especially during long or active days, a breath domestic, cotton line, more fully covered, is usually a healthier option for vulvar and vaginas,” Ross said.
“Everyone’s body is different, so the key is to pay attention to what feels right for you … Remember – it’s finally wearing these styles from time to time, but they are not the healthiest option for everyday use,” she added.
A bonus hygiene type
“Maintaining good hygiene habits is essential for preventing infections,” Ross said.
It recommends a vaginal probiotic like Winx Health’s Wellness Kit Wellness, which includes a probiotic supplement and a UTI protective addition with ingredients such as blueberry, d-mannose and vitamin C.
