Your passport is a digital â €, but you will not throw the hard copy yet.
Apple just discovered a new cute feature that will allow iPhone users to upload their passport to Wallet Apple this fall, turning their device into a one-stop store to set Jets at least within American borders.
The new digital passport will be accepted at TSA checkpoints, making those airport security lines just less painful.
“While not a replacement for your physical passport, the digital ID can be used for household trips and at TSA -supported checkpoints,” said an Apple spokesman during the company’s latest event, as reported by USA Today.
This means that the new glossy digital document will take you all over the world, but it will blame you through security in your short short hop – not required to be required in your bag.
The rotation comes to the heel of the real ID implementation by kicking in this May, which had passengers to clash to find out if their driver’s license was agreed – or if they would have to delete a passport just to fly from Lax to Lag

According to SF Gate, Apple recently noted in a state that their new digital ID “offers a safe and private way to users to store and introduce their ID information using their iPhone and Apple Watch.”

But before bending the little blue book for the better, be warned – TSA says the digital ID presented at TSA checkpoints “provides identity verification only for home trips, and is not a replacement for your physical passport.”
The agency continued in a state at SF GATE, “it is important for the US physical passport to be available if necessary, and a US physical passport is still required for international trips.”
