I turned my friend’s apartment into an urban oasis for about $ 2,500 – here’s how is how

Finding the perfect New York City apartment is difficult, but decoration can be even harder.

With so many opportunities in the market, you can feel overwhelming on endless coffee tables and armchairs, especially if you are not looking to spend five figures offering your space.

Enter Sicotas, an accessible, front furniture company, built on the principles of simplicity, comfort and taste. Founded in 2018, the brand offers elegant, versatile and environmental home decor and I recently tried to try its first -hand parts when my friend Brooke asked me for rented brooklyn a much needed relief.

Together with the interior designer Kat Salazar and Sicotas Charlene Yang’s marketing manager, we decided to focus our efforts on the two spaces that Brooke uses the most. We started in the living room; With little in addition to a sectional sofa and some plants scattered as a starting point, it was the perfect white canvas to bring to life.

“The first thing I notice about this space is all beautiful natural elements.” I want to take those elements and fill them with more natural conclusions to really create a comfortable, cozy feeling. “

To play the “warm tones” of the room, Charlene suggested a mixture of parts from the Savanna Sicotas collection, which is made with a steady source, and its CAS of wave shape.

One of the main advantages of the floor was the presentation of several shelves, so she and Charlene sandwich this keyboard table between two of the bookshelves that match below – the perfect mixture of hidden and open storage.

“Depending on the time of the day, you will take a different picture as the sun’s rays on the furniture,” says Charlene, who chose Casiopeia CAS -inspired collection to take advantage of the excess room windows and the abundant sunlight.

To fill the center of the room, Charlene chose this coffee table with the tip of the rod from the Savanna collection of Sicotas. For a bit of contrast to the top, Kat put a white alabaster bowl filled with moss spheres, along with a ivory colored stack and some parts with smaller accents to match.

“We have definitely wanted to bring many of those natural textures to complete the architecture of space,” Kat says. “We found many of those on the equipment, but it began with the conclusions of the Sicotas collection.”

The other stop was the bedroom, which was in the same way low in the storage space and did not offer brooke any proper type of work from home.

“We really have to open this space a little more,” noted the floor. “The parts we bring should be a little more functional.”

While the Old Night of the Oak of Brooke were mixed in the exposed brick wall in the bedroom, these from the Sicotas opus collection create a beautiful contrast, making the whole room feel more finished.

“I like that this style can go with so many types of design,” Kat tells The Nightstands, which exhibit a flowing finish inspired by the keys of a piano.

Charlene and Kat chose to change the small sofa at the foot of the Brook bed, replacing it with two of these shoe benches.

“Functionally, these are really great. We wanted to put something at the end of the bed where you can sit and put your shoes, and there is also a lot of storage,” Kat says.

On the side of the opposition of the room, Charlene and Kat brought to this rattan to present some qualities and color, while also providing a lot of storage.

“You can use it to save close to your, but also as a television attitude,” Charlene points out. The beats look at a white white wall!

“You can use it as a vanity, as a workplace, however you want,” Kat says for this graceful computer table. “We put a small bench there now, but it can always change it to a chair.”
