Marc Andreessen is giving home hunters another chance to buy his long home.
Billionaire’s technology investor and his wife, philanthropy Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen, have again placed 12,000 square meters of Atherton in their market for $ 29.5m, approximately $ 4 million under his previous rankings, according to Bloomberg.
The 1.55 hectare property was quietly restored on May 23 after sitting unsold for most of last year before retiring in November.
Andreessen, a co-founder of the Entrepreneurship Capital Firm Andreessen Horowitz (A16Z)-and an early supporter of companies such as Meta, Airbnb and Lyft-Blene Property in 2007 for $ 16.6 million.
The couple’s decision to review the rankings comes amid a wider change of living.
Andreessen has spent growing time in Florida and Washington, approximating President Donald Trump, whose inner circle includes some A16Z Alumni and his portfolio companies.
Atherton’s settlement is protected from the appearance from dense fences – a common feature in a city that is constantly listed as one of America’s strict codes.
After the intimacy barrier, the house includes five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, two kitchens, seven fireplaces, a one -bedroom house and a garage with three cars.
It is traded by Brent and Mary Gullixson of Compass Real Estate. Brent Gullixson refused to comment on the rankings.
While Andreessen greets Wisconsin, Arrillaga-Andreessen is closely linked to the Gulf area. Her late father, John Arrillaga, played a central role in the formation of modern Silicon Valley by developing tens of millions of square meters of office space for technology giants, including Apple, Cisco and Google along with his long partner Richard Peey.
In recent years, the couple has expanded their footprint in southern California, acquiring three Malibu states – especially a $ 177 million bluffftop complex in 2021 that destroyed price records across the country.
Subsequent purchases included a home of $ 44.5 million and a $ 34 million widespread nearby, according to previous reports at the Wall Street Journal.
Andreessens made titles in 2022 for their field opposition with a proposed development of multifamilic dwellings in Atherton, writing in a letter that the plan “will massively reduce the values of our home”, raise the traffic and quality of life of low inhabitants.
Despite the return from the wealthy locals, the city eventually adopted a revolutionary plan to allow more housing in October 2024.
