Identical twins celebrate their 100th birthday – and reveal the advice for a long life

A pair of identical twins have just celebrated their 100th birthday- naming a love of sports as the secret of a long and happy life.

Williams Casey – known as Bill – and his twin brother Jack celebrated their centenary together earlier this year with cake, drinks and friends at his retirement home in Didcot, Oxon.

Pictures from the celebration show that the pair are enjoying themselves in inflatable crowns – and holding their cards from King Charles.

Bill, who is “the oldest twin of ten minutes”, enjoys an artistic life after receiving retirement painting and making time for his health- with 20 minutes of training.

Reflecting in his 100 years, he said the computer is the most important invention he has seen in his life with his opportunities â € œamazing.â €

When asked what he credits to help him achieve this impressive historic moment, he credited œ œlean and healthy living, staying active, complete determination and good genes.â €

Bill added: “I always intended to reach 100 and now is here, I’m looking forward to the next 100! Â €

His tips for young people were “had an interest in sports – especially cricket! And keeping themselves active.â €

Originating from Wandsworth, South London, both twins joined the army in 1945 as members of electrical and royal mechanics.

They spent 15 months in Malaysia, with Bill confessing that they up u up to many tricks being identical twins! Â €

Bill met with his future wife, Joan, at Butlins near Pwllheli in Wales in 1951, and they were married in Cirencester in 1953 before welcoming their son, Martin, in 1955.

Bill and Joan settled in Sutton, Surrey, where Bill works as a skill instructor and government training.

He became a qualified member of the Train Officers Institute before withdrawing as a manager in 1984.

Now Bill is set in Williams Place, a McCarthy stone pension house.
