When career coach Shoshanna Davis asked Tiktok to share the “more unwanted” things they do to reduce a job – social media users surrendered.
Invisible? Try not sacred.
Among the jaw researchers looking for work that were directed at the posting comment section:
- “Sent a picture of a T-rex trying to make a bed instead of my CV with a note saying I’m not sending my CV because I’m upset to do it. If you like this photo, meet me for a drink to discuss the job.” (Worked.)
- “Changed the font to my summary in SF PRO
- “A woman stopped from my boss’s office to ask for a job opening, but she spoke through her doll.”
- “Won a dance battle for a reference.”
Desperate times, desperate measures.
Other claimants rewrite romance rules – converting meeting applications to network platforms:
- “Decide” open to work “on their appointment profile of Hinger.”
- “Returned a quick meeting event into a network.
- “Match her in Raya and landed an MD role after a few dates. She’s my wife now.”
- “Claimed to be interest[ed] At dinner with a guy so he could send my cv to his boss because I wanted to work in the same company. “
“Some of this, no, I wouldn’t recommend them,” Davis warned, saying today.com in a recent interview.

Davis herself admits that she has attracted some smart scams at the technology events invited just to get the inner spoon and bring that Intel to interviews.
But not all job seekers are there shaking hands and dancing for references – some just want the truth.

And don’t blame them.
A complete 71% of new workers believe that salary should be discussed openly in the office.
For them, it is a red flag when employers do not pay – and a trader who should not apply.
Because if General Z is going to stay in a job, they would like to know what he first pays.
