We are the best around, and nothing will keep us down.
New York City has been named the best city in the world for 2025 by the Oxford Economy Global Cities Index.
This marks the second consecutive year that Big Apple has visited the annual list, which contains more than 50 main metropolises across the globe.
Of course, the ranking of the “best” city on Earth may sound a little loaded, but the Oxford Economyics tried to keep objective things by estimating 1,000 of the most populous urban jungles in a variety of meters that include five extensive categories: economics, human capital, quality of life, environment and environment.
The metropolises were then given results from 100 based on their overall performance.
With that method, the Oxford economy could gather “a nuanced meaning of the strengths and weaknesses of each city” from the site.
This year, eight of the top 10 cities held their points, which Oxford economy experts thought again demonstrated the extraordinary resistance of these centers against “trade tensions” and other threats to “economic growth around the world”.
Big Apple grabbed first place with a perfect result 100 in general and in the economy sector. Experts attributed this large gross domestic product of the city (GDP), enviable income for the person and its abundance of corporate headquarters.
NYC did not perform so well in the government and environmental sector – ranking 168 and 161 respectively, with experts who flag its economic diversity and high housing expenses.
Incidentally, the Big Apple boasts most billionaires on Earth with a 123 10-Figure-plus collective $ 759 billion.
London, meanwhile, held his second place Slot at this metropolitan Olympics with a total score of 98.5.
UK electricity excelled in the human capital category, marking a perfect 100, which experts thought was second to “world -class universities, the various work for the great power of the international headquarters”.
Also enviable was their economic performance – a credit for the city’s high GDP.
The end of the first five were Paris, France; San Jose, California; And Seattle, Washington, with Oxford Gurus, noting that all three Meccat have high economy results.
Paris excelled in this regard “the second in the full size of its economy”, while “Hubs Tech” San Jose and Seattle boasted “high levels of GDP for person”, from the index.
They were also generally happy, according to the survey.
“While these three cities mark a little lower than New York and London at the front of human capital, they exceed the two best cities in terms of quality of life,” the authors writes.
San Jose and Seattle landed 91.5 and 88.1 respectively, respectively, in that area, compared to 83.8 of NYC, while Paris nabbed an estimate of the quality of life 93.2.
“Paris benefits from its abundance of world -famous cultural countries and high life expectancy, while San Jose and Seattle residents have among the highest average income in the world.”
