Walmart buyers are losing their minds after learning that the items of great value friendly to the store budget come equipped with invisible barcodes-a secret hidden in simple views since 2019.
In a Viral Tiktok clip posted by Walmart Market @beatsbyca, employees used a hand scanner to occupy six products immediately in their intermediaries – away from visible barcodes – discovering that the goods are plastered with covers.
“Truths know almost all of the articles of great value have hidden bar codes,” she wrote in the title, sending jaws to the floor of the self-control. The clip has accumulated over 287,000 views and left -winged viewers – and a little paranoid.
In the video, the content creator is seen scanning a Walmart product from all angles while checking, indicating that you do not need to scan the barcode designated to call an item.
How it works is that grass codes are hidden so that self-control scanners can recognize products even when customers are directly aiming at traditional theft of making the most difficult barcode, as it is easy for people to go through the scan in the self-control registers.
The technique was developed by the Digimarc barcode company and has about five years.
“Walmart is a leader of the front thought technology with a steadfast foot in the client’s experience,” said CEO of Digimarc Riley McCormack in a country in 2022.
