Founders of the Colony Hotel Bring Palm Beach Posh in East Hampton’s Hedges Inn

Although there are only 13 rooms, historical hedges inn – which sits at the entrance to the East Hampton village and from its idyllic basin – has made excess titles in the last year.

Scott Sartiano, the man behind the private club packaged zero bond, renting Inn last summer in the hope of starting a spinoff club. He was received with insurmountable resistance by village officials and residents, who felt a nightlife vibe and its associated noise and traffic. After a series of opposition, his rent was not renewed.

Now the new bed and fast owners, Sarah and Andrew Wetenhall, have been welcomed with open wings. It is not hidden that Wetenhalls had a house in East Hampton for 15 years (until 2021) and also turned the Colony Hotel into a soft Palm Beach destination, where New Yorkers holidays and locals accumulate in its Polyside Swiftyâ Trivia and Bingo Nights restaurant.

The Coupleifi brought many of those elements evenly in defense when it was opened last week – along with the miraculous model that was part of the seduction of the colony. Sarah tells Alexa.

This means Shake Lyingles; Very red, white and blue; Plus many colony pops – famous pink. Inn’s first floor was already renamed by previous owners, and the rooms will be refreshed this year, with a larger planned arrangement after the summer season.

â € œandred and I want to travel, but we also love the comforts of home creatures, Sarah explains. To this end, they are adding sheets, towels and matouk clothes along with luxury facilities.

â € œ we are dealing with creating a fun summer, and we will do this with a smile on our face and kindness in our time, ”she says. Like in the colony, they will offer their famous brand bicycles on Instagram with baskets and road maps, along with buggies that carry Guests, chairs and coolers. We are.â €

Inn, first established in 1873, will now have a full 24-hour service table, service parking, butler service, a provision of drinks and complimentary snacks, curated routes and a porter-text-poodle-s.

“We can offer a personalized experience, and we are really excited to recover hospitality in East End,” Sarah says.

Guests can enjoy intimate fire gatherings, as well as Wednesday evening conversations with invited lecturers.

Wetenhalls are known for bringing designers, beuuty brands and celebrated fitness instinctors for collaborations. “We love our partnerships; they round out guests’ experience, ™ € ™ she notes. In Hedges, those collaborations will include Naturopathica Spa, Volvo Electric EX 90 Home Cars and a local travel home in the form of a vintage pink rover rover protector.

But the most important partnership remains with Swifty (initially a dining in New York before being resurrected under founder Robert Caravaggi in the colony). The restaurant has taken over the home dining space with 100 seats sheltered last summer, server, lunch and dinner, including signature with meat and crab sweets, along with the farm on the local table.

Trivia will also reappear, but unfortunately, those Bingo Uberpopular nights will not make the trip to the north. “New York State Games laws will not allow it,” Sarah sighs.
