There is a reason that mcmufins have been delicious with eggs in recent years.
McDonald Egg McMuffin’s girlfriend has stayed very stable in her recipe since his debut 50 years ago – but an ingredient exchange changed the morning sandwich for good.
If you order an McMuffin egg, you will get a sandwich consisting of a cracked egg, an American melted cheese, a slice of Canadian bacon, placed in a toasted English muffin, filled with real butter.
But the beloved menu article did not always have real butter.
If you have been an McDonald customer for more than a decade, you may notice a slight change of taste, most believe a better taste, thanks to a slight change in ingredients.
In 2015, the fast food chain stopped using liquid margarine and passed into real milk butter.
The exchange came as Americans begin to realize that margarine is not as healthy as everyone once thought it was, and the artificial product is not compared to quality or aroma with milk -based butter.
But such a seemingly small modification was actually a supersized venture for the chain.
According to the reception, the process of margarine phase and the behavior of real butter in the morning items took about six months – though many customers are loving it and believe it was worth it.
McDonald’s celebrated the 50th anniversary of the beloved morning sandwich this year, which debuted in 1975.
According to McDonald’s, Egg McMuffin was first invented in 1971 by Herb Peterson, who presented to Ray Krock, which is widely regarded as “McDonald’s founder”, as the concept of setting a dinner class, Benedict eggs, in the palm of your hand.
“When I saw my father introduced this idea to Ray Kroc, we could not predict that the foundation for the well -known McDonald morning menu would be made,” said Peterson’s son and McDonald owner/operator David Peterson in a state.
“It is extraordinary to see people embrace this innovation over the past five decades, and now we have to share that legacy with a new generation of morning fans.”
